Ingredients
- 12 ounces unsalted turkey breast, cooked
- 3 medium red apples
- 1 cup celery
- 1/2 cup onion
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons apple juice
Preparation
- Cut turkey into cubes. Dice celery and apples; finely chop onion.
- In a medium bowl, combine turkey, apple, celery and onion.
- Add mayonnaise and apple juice. Stir together until well mixed.
- Chill until ready to serve.
Helpful hints
- Some grocery stores sell diced, cooked turkey. Check the label to be sure it is not salted. You could also purchase fresh, uncooked turkey breast and cook in the oven or grill without adding salt.
- Wondering how much produce to buy? One medium apple yields 1 cup; three celery ribs yield 1 cup; 1 medium onion or 1/2 large onion yields 1/2 cup.
- Adjust mayonnaise portion to taste. Reduced-fat mayonnaise may be substituted for regular mayonnaise.
